The Audi Environmental Foundation recently launched the "Restore our Bays" initiative to support and promote coastal restoration in the United States of America. As part of this project, two non-profit organizations, Save The Bay and The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, are supported with financial support from the Audi Environmental Foundation and volunteer work by Audi of America employees.

The project is aimed at schools that do not keep bees yet.

The reasons include the increase in numbers of varroa mites in beehives, a lack of food supply or the increasing use of pesticides.
